Independence Day Celebration

ALL-AMERICAN PARADE

• Parade will start at 10:00 am in downtown Hesston at Old Highway 81 moving North on Main Street ending on Vesper Street.
• You can participate in the parade by filling out the Parade Form (pdf). 
  There will be a prize for best float!
  

FAMILY FUN ACTIVITIES

• Free Swimming at the Aquatic Center from 1:00 - 5:00 pm.
  Shaved Ice will be on site for refreshment.
• Hesston Golf Course
  • Wear red/white/blue and receive discounted rates.
  • The smoker will be cooking your tasty BBQ lunch.
  • Winners of the best group photo contest will each receive a free round of golf.

ALL-AMERICAN COMMUNITY MEAL – EVENING

• Enjoy classic favorite food with friends, family, neighbors, and visitors for the low cost of $5 a meal.
• The Hesston Community Foundation will begin serving at 6:30 pm just South of the Hesston Public Library at Main & Amos Street.
• Whiskey Wagon will be providing additional drinks from 6:30 to 9:00 pm.

LIVE MUSIC AND STREET DANCE

• Formed in 1998, BIG FAT FUN has been bringing the party to thousands of fans across the mid-west. Playing a wide variey of popular music from Pop, Rock and Funk, to Disco, Country, Alternative and Standards.
  The band will take the stage at 8:00 p.m. just South of the Hesston Public Library at Main & Amos Street.
  Please bring your own chairs.

FIREWORKS

• The professional fireworks show will begin after 9:45 pm in the area of Old Highway 81 and W Lincoln Blvd.
  You will be able to see the fireworks from the street dance site or you can move West of the post office if you want to be closer.
